Spring Managers Meeting 2026

JMC Spring Managers Meeting Prepares Teams for Busy Season

JMC recently held our annual Spring Managers Meeting at the Tirrell Room in Quincy, MA to prepare our properties for the warm weather season after a long New England winter. President Bob Ruzzo welcomed new Property Managers and Maintenance Managers and took a moment to recap how much JMC has grown since 2023. JMC has taken over management of over 2,000 apartments since 2023, growing from 81 properties with a total apartment count of 12,014 to 89 properties with a total of 14,048 apartments—a milestone made possible by the dedication of our employees.

Bob also touched on NSPIRE inspection results, which were highly successful, with Stone Run East Apartments in Weymouth, MA receiving a score of 99 and Carlton Oaks in Salem, NH achieving a perfect score of 100.

Next, Gary Saltmarsh, Director of Maintenance Operations, gave a maintenance overview covering work orders, annual inspections, and NSPIRE protocol updates. He also reflected on the winter season as teams prepare for spring cleanups, including flower planning and announcing the 2025 flower award winners. The top three winners were Canterbury Towers, Saugus Commons, and The Heights Amesbury.

The Human Resources Department welcomed speakers from Fidelity Investments to discuss best practices for JMC employees. Managers also heard from Kurt Bodziony of Beacon Mutual Insurance, who shared insights on ergonomics and stretching techniques that can be implemented in the office.

The afternoon continued with updates from the Accounting Department and Vice President Brian Gallagher, who spoke about vendor compliance management. Brendan Corcoran, Director of Capital Expenditures, discussed bidding protocols, while Jim Krotz and Patrice MacNeil reviewed new incident reporting procedures. Erik Lawrence and Justin Young shared property audit results to ensure policies and procedures are being followed effectively.

The Marketing Department closed out the day with updates on Performance IQ for online learning, along with a video highlighting maintenance team achievements and expressing appreciation for their hard work across JMC communities. Eight Maintenance Managers were also recognized with Meet the Mission Awards for going above and beyond in service to their properties and residents.
